These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Filing Sorted mobile application ("the app"), provided by 786 Infinite Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, subscribing to, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Important: Filing Sorted is independent software. It is not provided by, or endorsed by, HMRC. It does not provide tax, accounting, or legal advice. You remain responsible for the accuracy of the figures you enter and submit, and for meeting your own tax obligations.
786 Infinite Ltd, 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. Registered in England & Wales, Company No. 12533644. VAT No. GB516006822. Contact: info@filingsorted.co.uk.
Filing Sorted helps UK sole traders and landlords meet their Making Tax Digital for Income Tax Self Assessment (MTD ITSA) obligations. It connects to your HMRC account (with your permission), shows your filing deadlines, lets you record income and expenses, and submits quarterly updates to HMRC on your instruction.
The app currently handles in-year quarterly updates. The year-end final declaration is completed on HMRC's own service; the app signposts you to HMRC for that step.
If you are unsure about your tax affairs, seek advice from a qualified accountant or tax adviser.
Where a free trial or free tier is offered, its terms will be shown at the point of purchase. If a free trial converts to a paid subscription, you will be charged unless you cancel before the trial ends, in line with Apple's rules.
Purchases made through Apple's in-app purchase system are subject to Apple's refund policy. We do not process payments directly and therefore cannot issue refunds ourselves; refund requests must be made to Apple. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
We aim to keep the app and its supporting service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The app depends on external systems — including HMRC's APIs, Apple, and our hosting providers — that are outside our control and may be unavailable at times. We may update, suspend, or withdraw features to maintain or improve the service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that:
You remain solely responsible for your tax affairs and for the accuracy of what you submit to HMRC.
Our handling of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary, your HMRC credentials and NINO are stored on your device, not on our servers, and our server acts as a secure relay to HMRC.
The app, its name, branding, and content are owned by 786 Infinite Ltd or its licensors. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own tax affairs. You may not copy, modify, resell, or reverse-engineer the app except as permitted by law.
You may stop using the app at any time and cancel your subscription through your Apple ID. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or use the app unlawfully. On ending, the licence in section 11 stops; you can delete your data at any time using the in-app delete feature.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date shows when they last changed. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
